Building trust & personalized VR experiences is a beautiful challenge. | Cyril Tuschi, SyncReality

While the early promise of location-based VR sparked his interests in the metaverse, limits on the technology to reach people and tell stories at scale, made him approach the problem from a different point of view.

As founder of SyncReality, Tuschi is tackling some of the metaverse’s biggest challenges: making VR experiences more accessible, increasing connections to the physical world, and protecting your personal data while you explore interoperable metaverse worlds.

In this AR Minute conversation with Nathan C, Cyril talks about his work to ensure the data sovereignty and agency of XR viewers; and to build better economic models in the metaverse based on trust, not surveillance. And while these are tough problems, Tuschi finds them exciting because they are new problems with unlimited possibilities.

Because the experience is anchored in and relates to the physical space, you see the table and TV just as they are.

When your movements in VR are paired 1:1 with your physical movements the VR apps are more comfortable and less likely to make people sick (like how teleporting and zooming around VR often can.)
