The AR Minute
Season 2, Episode 10
“We want to make sure that anyone who wants to learn, has the ability to learn with our platform.” This simple statement captures two core tenants that drive Murewa Olubela’s vision for Marvl Language—the transformative power of augmented reality (AR) and the importance of access to technology resources and tools.

Marvl makes learning English as a second language fun by adding helpful characters and interactive elements into the student’s own environment. By building this experience for Web XR, rather than a stand alone app, the lessons can be experienced by any student with a smartphone or tablet and an internet connection, greatly increasing the number of students they can reach.

Clearly Murewa is excited about the future possibilities of the metaverse, but reminds us that we must work to build technologies that nurture our social selves and sense of community—keeping experiences grounded in our human lives and experiences.

We’re with you, the future is AR!
