For Edu Strul it’s easy to have a crystal clear vision of the future, you see, his whole company is built around the goal to live in a world without screens. Using futuristic sounding retinal projection the team at EyeJets (https://eyejets.net/) can literally stream digital data directly onto the light sensors at the back of your eyeballs.
We don’t notice it, but our eyes are constantly moving and adjusting. To make sure the digital content can stay anchored and crystal clear, Eyejets uses eye tracking and syncing technologies that are pretty jaw dropping on their own.
When your entire field of view can be used as a ‘virtual canvas’ you can have access to all the content, when and where you need it. Imagine having dozens of private dashboards, apps, media players, and other digital tools available to you all from your smart glasses and without the need for physical screens or keyboards. Eventually the Eyejets intends to add spatial audio, touch-less inputs (keyboards) and other features to their platform to enable full mixed reality experiences like you might see in Hollywood blockbusters like Minority Report, notes EyeJets CEO, Strul.
Retina projection, the first step in this vision, not only provides users with a blended view of digital and physical worlds, but the mechanics of scanning the retina also delivers unique approaches to digital security, trust, and authentication. Your retinas are more unique and easily recognizable than your fingerprints.
While this is a new level of tech intimacy may take a moment to catch on with consumers—Nathan C suspects that many people will prefer metaverse social networks where they have trust, safety, and community rather than just “$8 blue check marks” guiding their interactions with strangers and brands.
We’re loving this vision of a safer, more trusting and connected world, thanks for sharing your great work with us on The AR Minute from AWE EU.
Special thanks to our Season Two series sponsor, AWE, for creating an environment where “XR business thrives,” ideas flow freely, and the global community comes together to push this industry forward.
Since 2010, over 5,000 XR companies and 60,000 professionals have come together at AWE events to learn from the brightest industry minds, to experience cutting-edge technologies first-hand, to challenge each other with crucial conversations, and to build the connections that drive a diverse and vibrant community and ecosystem.
